10th October 2025: Nissan has announced its pricing and the opening of pre-orders for the all-new Nissan MICRA which is returning to Irish roads as a compact EV with a top range of 416 kilometres and a starting price of just €25,995.

The all-new model makes city and country driving fun and its impressive range, convenient fast charging, clever design and intuitive technology is certain to be a hit with a new generation of Nissan Micra drivers, young and old.

This is the sixth generation of the iconic car which first hit Irish roads over 40 years ago. It continues to be a stylish and distinctive car, but the all-new MICRA is a step forward, bringing every-day all-electric driving to life in an easy way.

It has two battery options with impressive range, both engineered and perfected for real world use. The 40kWh battery has a range of up 317 kilometres, while the 52kWh battery offers a top range of 416 kilometres. Both variants support DC fast-charging up to 80kW and 110kW respectively.

The all-new Micra is available in three grades. The entry level Engage grade has a 40kwh battery and is priced from €25,955. The Advance grade is priced from €27,995 for the 40kWh version and from €30,995 for the 52kWh variant. The top of the range Evolve grade is only available with the 52kWh battery and is priced from €32,995. All prices include the SEAI Grant of €3,500 and exclude delivery related charges.

‘The great thing about the Nissan Micra is that it is instantly familiar. It is a car that has evolved across five generations over more than 40 years. Chances are, almost every Irish family has a Micra memory to share. The all-new Nissan MIRCA takes things to the next level, making switching into an EV accessible and affordable, safe in the knowledge that this is the one car that you can trust and rely upon to never let you down,’ said Seamus Morgan, Managing Director of Nissan Ireland.

“This is the start of a new chapter for MICRA as an EV and its range of up to 416 kilometres and up to 110kW fast-charging is hugely attractive to anyone who is thinking of making the switch to electric driving. It is agile, comfortable and packed with intuitive technology as standard, and perfectly sized for city use and driving on winding country roads. We have no doubt that it will turn heads wherever it goes,’ he added.

The exterior of the all-new MICRA is SUV-inspired, but right-sized for agility on narrow roads and streets. The interior, meanwhile, includes clean lines and beautifully integrated tech including dual 10.1” infotainment screens which blend digital control with clarity.

Intuitive in-car tech is embedded as part of the fully connected driving experience. Google Maps, Assistant and Play Store are built in along with voice control and the most up to date navigation. The NissanConnect app allows you to set the cabin temperature, check your battery status remotely, and plan your route with charging stops already built in.

Safety is also a priority and standard safety features include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Emergency Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Departure Warning for peace of mind. A full suite of driver assistance features is also available including adaptive cruise control and parking support.

The all-new Nissan MICRA is due to land in Nissan dealerships in January 2026 where it will be available to test drive. Customers can register their interest now and learn more about the car at www.nissan.ie. The new MICRA can also be viewed at its formal launch at the NEVO Electric Vehicle Show at the RDS in Dublin on November 7th and 8th.
